Services at Jefferson
Accessibility
The Jefferson Branch offers resources for patrons with visual impairments, including large print books and audiobooks. For those with hearing impairments, they provide DVDs with subtitles or closed captions, and e-books. Patrons with limited mobility can benefit from single-level access, a lower checkout desk, accessible parking, wide aisles, home delivery, and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. All public computers are ADA compliant.
Faxing
A self service fax machine is located on the first floor of the New Britain Public Library.
Faxes cost:
- $1.75 first page
- $1.00 each additional page
Home Delivery
Home Delivery Service is specifically designed for New Britain residents who are temporarily or permanently unable to visit the library due to health or mobility issues.
Printing & Copying
Printing is available for public use at the New Britain Public Library.
Copies are:
- 15 cents/per page for Black & White
- 25 cents/per page for Color
Wireless printing is available through Princh using the code 108344.
Public Computers
The Library provides free public computer access.
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the library. Users can connect by selecting the "NBPL- Public" network.
